Search Engine Success: Avecina.com

Fuel Multimedia's crack team of Search Engine Optimization gurus has done it again! FuelSEO, a division of Fuel Multimedia has performed their SEO magic for Avecina.com. Avecina is Jacksonville based urgent care company. They currently have 3 walk-in clinics serving Jacksonville, FL.

The backstory:

Dr. Saman Soleymani approached Wesley Black about performing some search engine optimization on his existing website. He was also displeased with his current hosting provider. The first order of business was to migrate the website to Fuel Multimedia's preferred hosting environment. This was taken care of in a matter of days.

Avecina had achieved some moderate rankings with the 3 major search engines, but they were seldom to be found for search phrases that did not include their company name. Dr. Soleymani wanted to abandon use of their domain name 'avecinamedical.com' and begin using the recently acquired 'avecina.com.' This presented a small challenge.

In order to maintain their clout with the search engines, we created a series of 301 redirect rules that tell the search engine where each page's new permanent home is under the new domain and file naming convention.

After that, we began the research. We found out which search phrases were demanding the most search volume, and we focused on those. We put these keywords in place throughout the site using our Top Secret SEO Techniques.

Once the web site was ready to be marketed, we began doing just that. Since Dr. Soleymani chose the Fuel SEO - SERPs Dominator Plan, we didn't pull any punches as we aggressively marketed Avecina.com to the search engines.

The Results:

We began work on Avecina.com around October 28, 2009. As of the time of this writing, just over 3 months have passed and we have already achieved some amazing results with the search engines.

The beginning of a Jacksonville Tradition

Beth King with Traditions Realty contacted Fuel Multimedia to take over their existing website. They weren't satisfied with their previous designer. Beth had done her homework and was gaining a good understanding of SEO principals. Her new-found knowledge made it painfully obvious that their current website was not up to snuff.

Wesley Black, chief web designer at Fuel Multimedia, began outlining the current website's functionality. The site used iframes to display MLS information from an external source. This is what allowed visitors to view their featured properties. The problem was that the data was not delivered as part of traditionsjax.com as far as the search engines were concerned. Overall, the old site was good from a graphic design standpoint, but fell short when it came to today's web design and SEO standards.

After a few short weeks of working with Beth King and Sally Suslak of Traditions Realty, their website was reborn. The new and improved website was built by customizing the WordPress system, which allowed the folks at Traditions Realty to perform their own updates. They can add virtual tours, open houses, press releases, slideshows, and more. They can add, edit and remove agents as they see fit. Certain pages import data from the external MLS website, then integrate and display listings as part of traditionsjax.com.

The next step is to begin marketing their new website to the search engines. We wish Traditions Realty the best of luck with their brand new website!

Fuel Multimedia completes a water conservation site

In 2009, Fuel Multimedia was approached by Mr. Jeff Hoffman to create a website for his water conservation organization, BlueWater Outreach. After viewing graphic mockups and speaking with Mr. Hoffman and his team about their vision for the site, Wesley Black of Fuel Multimedia decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to implement some of Fuel's new "Flash meets SEO" tactics.

This Flash website features a quick and clean intro animation with a custom scored soundtrack. The unique user interface provides a quirky way to navigate the site. Clicking on "bwo-to-go" or "bwo custom" provides you access to samples of the video, audio and printed materials contained in campaigns created by the BlueWater Outreach team. The BlueWater Outreach website also features an integrated blog, which is used to not only keep the world informed about water conservation, but also to build relevance in the search engines.

The amazing thing about this Flash-based website is that it is 100% indexed by search engines. A quick google search for site:bluewateroutreach.com returns 35 results. All of which are pages in this website. This method of Flash website design provides a feature-rich, and highly interactive experience for your visitors, coupled with uninhibited search engine marketability.

Contact Fuel Multimedia today to find out what kind of online magic we can work for your business.

BlueWater Outreach is an organization that makes public outreach programs both affordable and effective. Since 2001, the core team members have developed a number of water conservation and quality outreach programs and PSA's for government and water-related entities. Now they are combining their experience and expertise to create a streamlined process for customizing programs to meet their clients' specific needs. Have your Flash and SEO it too!

I know the title of this entry is cheesy, but it's so very true. This is not exactly new news that I'm reporting, but it is little known and it's VERY important.

Since birth back in 2003, Fuel Multimedia has specialized in creating Flash websites. The modern world changes a lot in 6 years. The internet changes a whole lot in 6 years! We are always working in the lab to come up with fresh and effective ways to improve our products and services.

The internet has always been chock full of 2 basic categories of website: Flash sites and traditional HTML sites. Until blue in the face, people will tell you how building a Flash website is search engine suicide. Others will tell you that traditional HTML sites are boring and cannot provide an engaging interactive experience.

We are here to tell you that you can have both!

We've developed methods of content delivery that allow users to enjoy the animations, menus and sounds of Flash while simultaneously rendering the same information in plain old Text/HTML for non-flash browsers and search engines!

Here's a small example: Liquor Group - Interactive Distribution Map

This Flash movie is displayed in an HTML/Flash hybrid website. When a search engine reads this page, they see a textual representation of the data in the map.

FL | Florida | LG provides distribution in Florida
GA | Georgia |
LG provides distribution in Georgia | Franchise State
HI | Hawaii |
LG provides distribution in Hawaii
ID | Idaho |
LG provides distribution in Idaho | Control State
IL | Illinois |
LG provides distribution in Illinois | Planned Expansion

Many of the other examples we'd like to show you are still in development. We'll be posting those as soon as they are ready to be seen by the public.

Contact Fuel Multimedia today and find out what kinds of Web Design and SEO magic we can work for you!

Fuel Multimedia completes a custom job management system

After months of hard work, we are happy to announce the completion of a custom job management system for our clients, Williams & Rowe, Inc. The system is a web-based one that allows W-R's project managers to communicate with superintendents, clients and subcontractors with ease.

Cyrus Rainey of Williams & Rowe came to Fuel Multimedia seeking a solution that would eliminate the headache of dealing with Excel spreadsheets to manage their many commercial building jobs. After listening to the needs of Williams & Rowe, Wesley and the Fuel Multimedia development team went to work. Fuel provided ideas and asked questions until they had created schematics for a system that met all of W-R's needs.

The backbone of the job management system was created using PHP and mySQL. The user interface was then improved and optimized using CSS, Javascript and DHTML. The result is a user-friendly tool that will send alerts to users via email or fax. It allows superintendents to schedule inspections. It allows project managers to keep tabs on their jobs and manage and communicate job details instantly and effectively.

Picture Happy Media: A good reason to smile

Picture Happy Media is a company that offers a variety of services, however their specialty lies in event and green screen photography. Mike Dunlavy, president of Picture Happy Media, approached Fuel Multimedia with a unique idea for a website. He wanted a homepage that focused on a camera lens in the center with links surrounding it in a circle. Being well educated about the internet, Mr. Dunlavy knew that is was also important for his website to be listed in the search engines.

Fuel Multimedia’s chief designer, Wesley Black was up to the challenge. First of all, Wesley worked with Michael in preparing the copy for his site. Good copy writing is one of the most important pieces of the pie when it comes to getting good positioning in the search engines. After that, Mike and Wesley shot ideas back and fourth regarding the look of the homepage. Michael wanted either a predominantly blue or green theme, which are the colors most commonly used for chroma-keying. After being presented with mockups, Mike decided upon blue for the website.

After the initial consultations and brainstorming sessions, the Fuel Multimedia team went to work. The fruit of their labor, picturehappymedia.com, is a visually stunning website. The camera lens on the homepage designed in vector format to ensure crisp, fluid animation. The whole site, while including many Flash elements, is completely digestible by search engine spiders. The sub-pages boast a sleek design and unique slideshow at the top of each section. The custom contact form is intuitive, secure and functional, featuring custom fields, and a captcha system to prevent spam injections.

We, at Fuel Multimedia with Picture Happy Media the best of luck with their new website!

Take a Tour of the Rockefeller Medical & Professional Center

Fuel Multimedia was hired to create a website for this 50,000 s.f. Professional Office Center in Orange Park. John Wright, owner of the facility wanted a huge emphasis on photos of the buildings. They had recently done some major improvements to the complex and were ready to show off their work. The other side of the coin was that they needed this website to show users a real-time picture of which suites were available for lease.

First things first, Fuel Multimedia sent a professional photographer to the location to snap a whole lot of pictures. When these photos were brought back to the office, they were sorted, processed and presented to the client. John and his associates reviewed the photos and selected their favorites. Meanwhile, Wesley Black and Edward Dias were drawing up the plans for a database driven system that would allow John and his team to log in and update their available suites.

After the plans were shared with the client and approved for production, The Fuel Multimedia Team brought it all together. The result is a professional website that is both inviting and functional. Users can easily see which suites are available, how big they are and how much they cost. The Rockefeller Team can easily keep the system up to date from any computer with an internet connection.

Bad Ass Diecast Fuels up!

Jacksonville, FL January 22, 2007 –

Bad Ass Diecast of Jacksonville, Florida started out with the sale and manufacture of a wide variety of die-cast collectibles. A couple of years ago, owner Stan Gill noticed a void in the die-cast industry. That void was soon filled when Bad Ass began the manufacture and sale of their original Top Fuel Hydro Drag Boats!

As die-cast model and drag boat enthusiasts began to get word of the remarkable Bad Ass Drag Boats, Cyndie and Stan Gill began to get increasingly swamped with orders. The only problem was, their website was incomplete and outdated.

Enter Florida Web Design Firm, Fuel Multimedia

After a quick consultation, Fuel Web Designers immediately began production in hopes of going live in time for the holiday rush. Under normal circumstances, an undertaking like this would require upwards of 10 weeks to accomplish. Bad Ass simply didn’t have that kind of time! Cyndie Gill was swamped with orders and had to keep track of them manually, since their website was not functional.

Fuel Multimedia designer, Wesley Black worked closely with Stan and Cyndie Gill to quickly realize their vision. The result is an e-commerce site that is far from ordinary. When you first enter Diecast-badass.com, you’re welcomed by the Bad Ass Mascot mischievously eyeing you as he chews on a piece of straw. Click on the mascot and you are taken to a rugged looking layout boasting a cool animated menu and a huge selection of die-cast collectibles available for purchase.

This new website seems to have captured the excitement of die-cast collectibles, the attitude of the Bad Ass name and the sheer usability and functionality of a top-notch online merchant. Not only did Jacksonville Web Design Firm, Fuel Multimedia meet and exceed their customers’ expectations, but they developed this “Bad Ass” website in record time!

Ponte Vedra Mortgage Takes it to the Web

Ponte Vedra Mortgage has their competition trembling over their visually stunning new website designed by Fuel Multimedia.

(PRWEB) September 23, 2006 -- Ponte Vedra Mortgage, Inc is a relatively small company nestled in one of the Jacksonville's most coveted spots: Ponte Vedra Beach. PVM takes a very different approach to the mortgage business. Instead of confusing their clients with pages and pages of industry jargon, PVM focuses on educating them. Educating them on where the money for a mortgage comes from, what characteristics define different mortgage types and even which properties on the market they favor. A business in this day and age that's built on such old fashioned values is a rare find, indeed.

PVM chose Florida design firm, Fuel Multimedia, LLC to help them better represent themselves on the world wide web. Upon first consulting with Fuel, they decided to ditch their old URL: pontevedramortgageinc.com for the much easier to type and communicate, pvmjax.com. A few short weeks later, pvmjax.com is being unveiled to the world. The new website boasts a color scheme straight out of a Renaissance painting and provides a warm, welcoming environment to visitors. A basic mortgage calculator provides a rough idea of monthly payments and then allows visitors to request additional information. Sure, PVM could have had Fuel create an over-complicated mortgage calculator that takes into account country specific property taxes, down payments, loan types, and other generally vaguely understood factors, but PVM’s hands-on approach to client relations dictates that they communicate directly with the prospective clients to help them make informed decisions every step of the way. President of Ponte Vedra Mortgage, Jeri Johnson could barely contain her enthusiasm as her vision materialized in the website that Fuel Multimedia created for her company.

Fuel Multimedia is becoming a household name in Northeast Florida to small and medium-sized businesses alike. PVM’s website was recently preceded by projects such as Lemongrassjax.com (a fine Thai restaurant on Jacksonville’s south side), Shootshop.com (an online portfolio for Frank Donato, a respected Jacksonville photographer) and Burritogallery.com (a delicious restaurant and cool place to hang out in Downtown Jacksonville) to name a few.

Press Release: Fuel Multimedia Gets Inked!

Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) August 25, 2006 --

Florida design firm, Fuel Multimedia completes production on an eye-candy rich web experience for Big City Tattoo. After over 6 months of work by Fuel designer Wesley Black, BigCityTattoo.net has GONE LIVE! Wesley was quoted saying "This project was pretty special in that I was not only given nearly 100% creative control, but also ample time to implement an arsenal of new tricks I've been working on."

Big City Tattoo currently has 4 locations in the Jacksonville area. They are touted as having some of the most talented artists in Northeast Florida on their team. “We always keep our artists on their feet by requiring that they compete in various national and regional ink competitions.” says Big City manager, Jason Woodard.

The Fuel Multimedia name is rapidly becoming commonplace in Jacksonville, Florida. A quick google search reveals that Fuel has provided web design for such big names as Plush (one of Jacksonville’s most popular night clubs), Happy Vodka (A national family of liquor products based in Jax) and Phifty-50 (A popular Hip-Hop group, a member of which appeared recently on the TV series “The Amazing Race”) to name a few. Fuel has been delivering quite stunningly on the web front, but that’s just one slice of the proverbial pie. FuelMultimedia.com explains in great detail the full gamut of their products and services. Full service printing, corporate branding, logo design and video production are a few of the other areas where Fuel Multimedia dabbles.
